Final Revisions Approved For Kansas 2012 Guidelines!

We met with the Supreme Court’s Child Support Guidelines Advisory Committee last Friday, on March 23, 2012.

They approved the technical corrections necessary to implement the replacement of the “80/20” parenting time adjustment with a new “Equal Parenting Formula,” and to replace the “Shared Custody Rule” with a new “Shared Expenses Rule.”

The amended Administrative Order 260 draft will now go to the Kansas Supreme Court for final approval. The Court has expressed an intent to adhere to the April 1, 2012 effective date for the new Guidelines.

We are finalizing an update to our Kansas Child Support Calculator to fully implement the technical corrections and prepare the full range of required and optional reports for periods after April 1.

All current 2012 subscribers will receive a program update automatically, without cost, as soon as we release it later this week. Just be sure to allow the program to update itself whenever it requests permission. If your program does not auto-update by April 1 then simply download the update from the updates page on our website
