The protocol for e-filing in Kansas courts requires (with only a single exception) that any document (such as an order or child support worksheet) which needs a judge’s signature to become effective must be filed as a Word* document.
Only Johnson County District Court (10th Judicial district) will accept a child support worksheet in a PDF format (the “normal” output format used by Bradley Software programs).
Complying with the “Word* only” requirement is easy, however. You simply output (print) the worksheet you want to file to a “word” printer. If you don’t have a “word” printer installed on your computer, you can get a free one from www.bullzip.com by downloading their “Print to Word” printer utility and then installing it as a printer on your computer.
When you’re ready to print your child support worksheet, select the word printer (Print/Printer Setup/Print to Word) , and your worksheet will be saved as a .doc word file which you can then upload to the e-filing site along with your other pleadings.
Thanks for using Bradley Software!
